Poll results: Brand new Buckham Alley Fest rivals Back to the Bricks as Flint's best summer event so far
It may be the "newcomer" among the list of Flint summer festivals, but the inaugural Buckham Alley Fest is going head to head with Flint's biggest car event.
As of 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Buckham Alley Fest and Back to the Bricks Car Show and Cruise had an equal number of votes, each gaining 30-percent for best summer event so far.
First ever Buckham Alley Fest draws nearly 2,000 people to downtown hotspot
This weekend brought the inaugural Buckham Alley Fest, a collaboration between some of Flint's most active and engaged downtowners.
With attendance reaching up to 2,000 people during the six hour event, Chris Everson, one of the organizers, says it was an event that really brought people together in the alley way.
"I think the best part was the diversity. We that we had a lot of families and kids for the first few hours, as well as a lot of seniors. As it got dark I noticed many more college-aged kids and mid-30's people."
